a network of people collaborating to create sustainable community
Creating a sustainable community means collaborating as neighbors and friends to live in a way that ensures all life continued health, liberty and happiness.
Every sector of the community has a part to play in contributing to sustainability: from educating each other about how sustainability applies to these different areas to decreasing our reliance on fossil fuels; from keeping our drinking water clean to running our businesses in a way that impacts our community, environment and other communities in a positive way. Different people are drawn to different areas.
As such, Working Groups form when someone decides to work on a particular aspect of a sustainable community. Contact info is included with each group's description for anyone who is interested in participating.
Anyone can form a working group. If you have an idea, please let the network know so that it can be publicized on this website, be included in the SPN brochure and so anyone else with a similar interest can help out.
